This is a 1/2 oz Gold Walking Liberty Half Dollar sold by APMEX. The coin is encapsulated in a protective plastic capsule and was produced by the U.S. Mint at West Point, N.Y. It contains 1/2 oz of .9999 fine Gold. The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman’s classic design of Lady Liberty draped in an American flag, while the reverse shows an eagle perched atop a rock. This special 100th anniversary coin commemorates the original 1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar.
