This is a 0.25 troy ounce gold coin sold by APMEX. Encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a black beauty box, this coin is a limited mintage of 1,350 coins. It is made of 99.99% pure gold. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati, while the reverse, designed by Neil Hamelin, depicts the Liberation of the Netherlands in 1945, with Canadian soldiers receiving a hero’s welcome. The double dates “1945-2025” and the inscription “VICTORY/VICTOIRE” commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII in Europe.
