It has a purity of 0.9167 and contains 1/10 oz of actual gold weight. The obverse design is adapted from Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ Gold Double Eagle, featuring Lady Liberty. The reverse, designed by Miley Busiek, shows a male bald eagle in flight. This is the final issue to feature this classic design.
